Dr Richard Henshell - brite-sparks Chairman(OBE)
Richard D Henshell was founder in 1976 and is presently executive chairman of PAFEC Ltd, a Company dedicated to computer aided applications in engineering including EDM, CAD, Computer Aided Engineering and Finite Element Analysis. PAFEC also has offerings in the field of Geographic Information Systems especially for the emergency services. He was educated at Nottingham University where he later became a research fellow and is now Special Professor. He has been awarded an OBE and was elected fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering.
Joe Rice - CEO
Started his engineering career as an apprentice electrical engineer at S.G.Browns Ltd prior to joining Kodak Ltd as a Technician in specialist automatic machines development. In 1979 he was voted Kodak’s most innovative employee following more than 20 inventions and innovations. His Veincheck invention recently featured in the British Genius section of The Millennium Dome exhibition Greenwich.
Shila Rawson - Internet Programmer
Shila was educated at De Montfort University Leicester where she acquired an excellent Degree in Computing. Her specialty is highly interactive web programming. She has interests in UML (Unified Modeling Language) design techniques and Object-Oriented Programming. Shila additionally speaks a range of Asian languages with remarkable fluency.
Matt Loren - Technical Consultant/Manager
Matt started his first internet technology based company in 1997 (operated entirely in profit) and graduated in Computer Science with Hons from the University of Kent at Canterbury in 1998. Since then he has worked for a number of large clients producing intranet and internet applications and sites, including BT, Our Price, Imperial Tobacco, Inmarsat, Oracle and the Thresher Group. Matt comes to Brite-Sparks having served as a senior consultant & technical leader within a large eCommerce agency and having been Head of Web Development for Lycos UK and Ireland. In 2000 his V.Shop kiosk project for Virgin was awarded the 'Most Innovative Use of Technology' in the European retail awards.
